Too much info about me...
My radio career has brought on amazing new experiences as well as helped me escape the harsh winters of New England. Being a child pretending to be a DJ in my bedroom has really paid off because now, I can pretend to be one everyday. While interviewing celebrities such as Mariah Carey, Jessica Simpson, five different cast members from Desperate Housewives and more has been exciting, it has always astounded me how gratifying it is when radio can truly make a difference.
Seeing the faces of children with the help of the Children’s Miracle Network, inspiring people to help those in need after 9/11, Tsunami relief and Breast Cancer Awareness are the memories that will last a lifetime. I hope that in Tallahassee, our morning show will entertain you and inspire you to help others.
After the show I spend all of my time with my family. My beautiful wife Jill and my two young sons Chase and Kris.

I owe you an entry

Since these blogs are essentially our online journals...I would love to write a funny tidbit about something going on right now...but with school starting...

...and all of the extra paper work to fill out, green forms, pink forms, blue forms

...making sure the kids haul in their school supplies in the right backpacks and the right schools

...trying to dig up the receipt to the pair of school shoes we bought that fit in the store but all of a sudden are too tight and nedd to go back

...and struggling to pack a lunch that even approaches the slightest nutrional value

...and trying to remember my car number in the parent pick up line...

I will get back to you!!!!!

Sometimes cruise vacationers grab headlines for the strange things that happen on what is supposed to be a wonderful time. I am making the following pledge...so that Tallahassee will be spared the embarrassing headlines of one of their residents doing something stupid on a cruise...

1. I will not fall off the boat. For some reason this is a difficult one for people to follow up on. The water is beautiful and so tempting, but I will stay on the boat.

2. I will not get left behind in another country. Yes, if you are not back on the boat...it will leave you.

3. I will not start or spread a flu epidemic. We all love the headlines of hundreds getting sick on a boat...but not this germophobe.

4. I will not lose my kids in the Bahamas while para-sailing.

5. I will not be photographed wearing a Hawaiian shirt at any time.

6. You will not see any pictures of me holding a drink on this website.

7. I will not complain of getting a third degree sunburn on our morning show. I will pack sunblock.

8. At no time will I get my hairbraided.

This I promise you Tallahassee!

Where is the school supply tax holiday?
Wednesday 07-23-2008 9:27am ET

Some parents loved to save a few dollars during the school supply tax holiday...but not this year. Get ready to be taxed on those new shoes and number two pencils you purchase this year. The House approved it for this year, the Gov said he would sign it, but your State Senate dropped it claiming "budgets are tight."

Lets have some of these Senators go shoping for two kids that need clothes and school supplies on a single mom budget. Then they will know the real meaning of a tight budget.

Vote in local elections...it matters...they make decisions like these because they believe you don't care.

Noles fans...our best strike again
Wednesday 07-16-2008 11:00am ET

Ok, I know we are not as sports station, but you have to feel good when our famous Noles alumni do great things. JD Drew (former FSU baseball sensation) was named the Major League Baseball All Star game MVP.

He hit a huge homerun over the right field wall at Yankee Stadium...if you closed your eyes for just a moment...you could almost see that ball traveling over the fence and bouncing off the circus tent at FSU.

Signs you live in Tallahassee...

When you see signs posted that gives the number of days left in hurricane season and the number of days until the Noles football season starts.

Need help finding a name?
Monday 07-07-2008 10:23am ET
Ahh, baby names. Always a tough choice because you are choosing a name that will be a first impression for someone for their lifetime. The Social Security Admin has put together a great page that has all the popular names from last year...the last decade...even the most popular by state.

Why do I put this info here?

...details soon!
If you haven't figured it out now...

I'm probably a little too into baseball. But there could be worse hobbies right?

Well, this weekend I am coaching the Chaires Little League 11 year-old All Star team in a tournament for a district championship and it has to be one of the most rewarding experiences I've had. If you ever have a chance to get involved in a kids related program even if your children are grown or not associated with the event directly...do it!

Help build a positive experience for someone, share some wisdom, show the value of volunteering...it will help you as much as it will help them.

Where? Youth leagues...Big Brothers Big Sisters...after school programs. The question is, where isn't there a place to help?

UPDATE!! We won the District tournament after five hours of baseball...congrats to the kids!
